Our Crafting Process
Every piece of Filira Jewel begins as an idea and ends as something you wear for years. In between is a process that has been refined over seventeen years of doing this work quietly, properly, and entirely under one roof. Here is how it comes to life.
The First Sketch
Every piece begins with a pencil, a piece of paper, and a designer who has spent years learning what makes jewellery worth wearing. Before any software touches the idea, it is drawn the old way, lines pulled slowly, proportions felt by hand. This is where the personality of a piece quietly enters.
From Paper to Precision
The sketch is then handed to our CAD team, who shape it into a precise three dimensional model. Every angle, every claw, every curve is built to the exact measurements that will guide the rest of the workshop. Nothing leaves this stage until the design feels right on screen, and just as right on paper.
The First Form
Using our in house RPT printer, the CAD file is brought to life as a wax model of the piece. For the first time, the design exists as something you can hold in your hand, study from every side, and refine before any metal is touched. It is the closest thing we have to seeing the finished ring before it is even made.
Into the Tree
Several wax models are arranged together into what we call a tree, ready for casting. Molten gold is poured carefully through the structure, taking the shape of every piece in a single, steady flow. What began as a drawing now stands in solid precious metal, waiting to be finished.
The Quiet Mirror
The raw castings are passed to our polishers, who spend hours bringing each piece to a clean, even shine. Edges are softened, surfaces are smoothed, and every small detail of the design is gently brought forward. This is the step where a piece slowly stops looking like metal, and starts looking like jewellery.
Setting the Stone
Now the diamonds are placed by hand, one at a time, each into its own seat. The metal around every stone is shaped, the claws pressed in with care, and the centre stone is always set last because it carries the most of the design. It is patient, precise work, and it always shows.
Held to the Light
Before a piece leaves our workshop, it passes through our Quality Control team. Every claw, every facet, every surface is inspected under magnification to make sure nothing has slipped through. Only when it meets our standards does it earn the right to carry the Filira name.
The Final Look
This is the moment everything was working toward. The piece is cleaned one last time, set carefully in its box, and made ready for the person it was always meant for. What started as a pencil sketch is now something real, something finished, something yours. Seventeen years of doing this have taught us that this moment never gets old.
